SAN And Alumnus of UI Shares What Motivates Him To Help Others
Olatunji, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), shared his inspiring journey from orphanhood to success during his decoration as a UI@75 Ambassador in Ibadan. In his speech, he revealed that he lost his parents in his final year at the University of Ibadan, but the support he received from unidentified individuals motivated him to give back to society.
Driven by the assistance he once received, Olatunji established a foundation to help indigent law students attend the Nigerian Law School. His commitment to philanthropy led to his recognition as a UI@75 Ambassador. The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kayode O. Adebowale, praised Olatunji for his exceptional contributions to both the national and global economy and his unwavering dedication to improving the lives of the less privileged.
During the event, Olatunji expressed his gratitude and pledged to further support the University of Ibadan through fundraising initiatives. He was joined by esteemed individuals, including Prince Dele Abolarin, Mr. Victor Edet, Mr. A. B. O. O. Oyediran, and Dr. Adesoji Taiwo, highlighting the collective effort to celebrate his achievements.
The ceremony was attended by prominent figures from the university, such as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration, Professor Ezekiel Olusola Ayoola, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research Innovation and Strategic Partnerships, Professor Oluyemisi A.
