IBBUL VC Leads Team to Dublin for CVCNU International Executive Development Programme
A delegation from Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai (IBBUL), led by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mohammed Hadi Sulaiman, is participating in the Committee of Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Universities (CVCNU) International Executive Development, Study Tour and Knowledge Exchange Programme at University College Dublin, Ireland.
The programme, themed “Education Without Borders”, runs from June 22 to 26, 2026, and brings together Vice-Chancellors, university administrators, policymakers and higher education experts from Nigeria and abroad to exchange ideas on emerging trends in global higher education.
CVCNU regularly organizes international executive development and study tours with leading universities worldwide to strengthen leadership capacity, foster international partnerships, promote research collaboration, advance digital transformation, and enhance university governance.
The Dublin programme offers participants engagement with global best practices in higher education management, institutional leadership, innovation, research development, internationalization, and strategies for building globally competitive universities.
Prof. Sulaiman’s participation reflects IBBUL’s commitment to academic excellence, international engagement and strategic partnerships to enhance teaching, learning, research and community development.
Also participating from IBBUL are Governing Council members Engr. Inuwa Musa Kuta and Dr. Adeniyi Yemisi Bisi, as well as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Mohammed Aliyu Bello. Their presence underscores the university’s collective commitment to strengthening institutional leadership and exploring innovative approaches to higher education administration.
The study tour is expected to open new avenues for collaboration between Nigerian and international institutions in research, staff and student exchanges, innovation, capacity building and academic development.
Since assuming office, Prof. Sulaiman has championed initiatives to strengthen IBBUL’s academic profile, expand infrastructure, attract research opportunities and position the university as a leading institution in Nigeria and beyond.
Knowledge and networks gained from the programme are expected to contribute to IBBUL’s efforts to produce globally competitive graduates, enhance research output and advance sustainable national development through quality education.
