ICPC Borno/Yobe Resident Commissioner Visits UNIMAID Vice-Chancellor

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID), Professor Mohammed Laminu Mele, received a courtesy visit from the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) Borno/Yobe Resident Commissioner, Mr. Linus Gubbi Matashi, at the Vice-Chancellor’s office in the Muhammadu Buhari Senate Building.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID), Professor Mohammed Laminu Mele, received a courtesy visit from the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) Borno/Yobe Resident Commissioner, Mr. Linus Gubbi Matashi, at the Vice-Chancellor’s office in the Muhammadu Buhari Senate Building.

Mr. Matashi stated that the visit aimed to engage with university management and explore avenues for partnership in corruption prevention and public education. He also congratulated the Vice-Chancellor on the successful 25th Combined Convocation Ceremony and the university’s 50th anniversary celebrations.

In response, Professor Mele reaffirmed UNIMAID’s commitment to national development and assured ICPC of the institution’s readiness for collaborative initiatives, highlighting the university’s existing productive relationship with the agency’s desk office on campus.

The visit concluded with the presentation of a commemorative plaque by Mr. Matashi to the Vice-Chancellor.
