Acting Rector of Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic, Lafia, Dr. Nurudeen Mu'azu Maifata, reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring the delivery and stability of quality education in the state during a recent meeting with the leadership of the Nasarawa State Students Parliament. The courtesy call took place on Monday in Lafia.

Dr. Maifata emphasized the vital role of education in building qualified manpower, stating that all nations rely on the insights and contributions of their workforce to enhance their economies and sustain national development. He pledged to support the vision of Governor Abdullahi Sule in achieving these educational goals.

The Acting Rector urged the student parliamentarians to become ambassadors of good governance and to contribute positively to the state's development. He highlighted his administration's focus on fostering unity and stability within the Polytechnic community since taking office.

Dr. Maifata noted that institutions, whether governmental or private, cannot progress if they are plagued by disputes and a negative working atmosphere. Under his leadership, he reported that the Polytechnic has made significant developmental strides, which are essential for fulfilling the institution's mandates.

He commended the students for refraining from participating in the #EndBadGovernance protests and encouraged them to take the sensitization on student loans seriously, emphasizing its potential to enhance their educational opportunities.

Earlier, Surajo Dahiru Mu'azu, Speaker of the Nasarawa State Students Parliament, praised the Rector and his management team for their contributions to the Polytechnic's development. 

The visit was attended by the management staff of the institution, members of the Students Parliament, and other Polytechnic staff.
