Imo State's education sector has gathered nationwide acclaim following the outstanding performance of secondary school students from the state in Abuja, where they emerged as the top performers across Nigeria. Students from Government College, Owerri, representing the Southeast region, clinched victories in both junior and secondary categories of the Quiz Competition.
