JAMB Announces Date for Policy Meeting on Tertiary Institutions Admissions

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the Policy Meeting on Admissions into Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria for the year 2024 will take place on Thursday, July 18. The meeting, a pivotal event chaired by the Honorable Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman, will gather key stakeholders from across the education sector.

Among those expected to attend are heads of regulatory agencies such as the National Universities Commission (NUC), National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), and the National Council for Colleges of Education (NCCE). Additionally, representatives from various tertiary institutions in the country and the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) will be present.
"The Policy Meeting serves as a critical platform to shape the admission process for the upcoming academic year. It facilitates the formulation of admission guidelines, reviews application statistics, evaluates candidates' performance, and establishes the minimum standards for admissions across all tertiary institutions."
According to JAMB, this annual gathering plays a pivotal role in ensuring transparency, fairness, and alignment with national educational objectives.
