Tuesday, May 5, 2026, marked a significant engagement for Junior Chamber International Nigeria Collegiate arm at Nasarawa State University, Keffi, as the organisation hosted a high-level supervisory delegation led by the National Vice President (North East D1), Olutunbi Banto, alongside the Collegiate Vice-Chairperson for the North East region.

The visit to Nasarawa State University, Keffi was aimed at evaluating ongoing JCI activities on campus, strengthening institutional engagement, and reinforcing the relationship between the global leadership structure of JCI and the university community.

According to organisers, the engagement provided an opportunity for direct interaction with student members, offering encouragement and strategic guidance on leadership development, civic engagement, and organisational growth.

As part of the visit, the delegation paid courtesy calls to key principal officers of the university, where appreciation was expressed for their continued support of JCIN NSUK and its student-led development initiatives.

The officials met included Abdullahi Muhammed (Prof. Amola), who serves as Patron of JCIN NSUK; Rebecca Atama; Ja’afar Abdullahi; and S.Y. Kpalo.

The visit was described as a strategic engagement to deepen collaboration between student leadership structures and university administration, with emphasis on capacity building and sustained impact-driven activities on campus.

In a further outreach effort, the National Vice President also visited Lincoln University, where discussions were held with the Students Affairs Office on the possibility of establishing a JCI Local Organisation within the institution, signalling an expansion of JCI’s collegiate footprint.

During the NSUK engagement, the Head of Information and Protocol Unit presented a university souvenir to the visiting National Vice President on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, symbolising goodwill, appreciation, and institutional partnership.

The delegation described the visit as productive and inspiring, noting that it reinforced the organisation’s commitment to leadership development, youth empowerment, and community impact.

The engagement concluded with renewed resolve by JCIN NSUK members to expand their influence, strengthen internal structures, and deepen their contribution to campus and societal development.
