KASU Hosts 2nd Edition of Inspire for Impact Initiative Youth Opportunity Summit

Kaduna State University (KASU), in collaboration with the Inspire for Impact Initiative (i4i), hosted the second edition of the Youth Opportunity Summit, themed "Leveraging Opportunities." The summit took place in the university’s 1000-seater auditorium and was convened by Hajiya Hauwa Liman, Technical Adviser to the Vice President of Nigeria on Women and Youth Engagement.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic, Prof. Yusha'u Ibrahim Ango, welcomed the dignitaries and participants, expressing hope that the summit would inspire youth to actively seek and utilize available opportunities. “We aim for every participant to leave here with a renewed focus on identifying and leveraging opportunities to make a positive impact,” Prof. Ango stated.

Prof. Na'iya Sada, Chairman of the occasion, encouraged the attendees to remain hopeful despite recent economic challenges. He urged them to follow the examples of upright individuals and to persist in their efforts to overcome obstacles.

In his goodwill message, KASU Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdullahi I. Musa, praised the participants for their enthusiasm in gathering to share ideas and collaborate on solutions. “At KASU, we believe in the transformative power of young people to effect meaningful change in our society,” Prof. Musa said.

The summit featured a series of impactful presentations and discussions by various speakers and dignitaries. Notable figures in attendance included Senator Uba Sani, Governor of Kaduna State, represented by Prof. Benjamin K. Gugong, Commissioner for Sports Development; Hon. Adewale Olawande, Minister for State, Youth Development; Dr. Hakeem Baba Ahmed, Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters; and Hon. Maryam Sule Ahman, Special Assistant to the President on Growth and Economic Expansion, among others.

The event concluded with awards presented to participants for outstanding presentations and business pitches. The convener, Hajiya Hauwa Liman, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all attendees for their contributions to the summit’s success.
