The University Library at Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University, Kano (KHAIRUN), successfully held the inaugural meeting of its Book Club on April 30, 2025.
This initiative aims to foster a vibrant reading culture within the university community, providing a platform for members to engage in thoughtful discussions and explore diverse literary works.
University Librarian, Mal. Nazir Muhammad, emphasized the importance of the Book Club in promoting intellectual discourse and camaraderie among book lovers. Facilitator Mal. Kabiru Musa Jammaje highlighted the benefits of the Club, including enhanced critical thinking, social connections, and personal growth.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdulrashid Garba, commended the effort, noting that the Book Club promotes a reading culture essential for academic excellence. This development is expected to enrich the intellectual landscape of KHAIRUN, benefiting both staff and students.
