KHAIRUN Receives Courtesy Visit from Executive Chairman, Borno State Hajj Commission

The management of Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University, Kano (KHAIRUN) on Monday, October 6, 2025, warmly received Prof. Yakubu Yunusa Musa, the Executive Chairman of the Borno State Hajj Commission, on a courtesy visit to the university.

Prof. Yakubu, who previously served as the Director of the International Institute of Qur’anic Science (IIQS) at KHAIRUN, described his visit as a homecoming, expressing heartfelt joy at reuniting with the university community.

In his remarks, Prof. Yakubu stated that the purpose of his visit was to officially hand over and seek forgiveness, noting that his time at KHAIRUN was filled with growth, brotherhood, and shared purpose. He commended the modern and visionary leadership of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abdulrashid Garba, describing it as a model of administration deeply rooted in Islamic values and ethics.

Prof. Yakubu further described KHAIRUN as a friendly and inspiring environment, adding that it remains a place where everyone would love to live and learn. He reflected proudly on his achievements at IIQS during his tenure and assured the management that his departure does not mark a total exit, as he remains committed to contributing to the progress of the university. He concluded by expressing gratitude for the warm reception and the beautiful gathering organized in his honour.

In his response, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abdulrashid Garba, expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the day and for His continued guidance and protection upon the university. He congratulated Prof. Yakubu on his well deserved appointment, acknowledging his significant contributions to the development of IIQS and the university at large.
