KHAIRUN Signs Strategic Healthcare and Clinical Training MoU with Kano State Ministry of Health

KHAIRUN Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Kano State Ministry of HealthKhalifa Isyaku Rabiu University, Kano (KHAIRUN), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Kano State Ministry of Health in a significant step towards strengthening collaboration in healthcare education, training, and service delivery.

The MoU signing ceremony took place on Thursday, 18th June 2026, at the Kano State Ministry of Health, with the KHAIRUN delegation led by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdulrashid Garba.In his remarks, Prof. Garba conveyed the greetings and appreciation of the Muhammad Rabiu Foundation, the Board of Trustees, Governing Council, Senate, and Management of KHAIRUN to the Honourable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf, and the entire Ministry.

He commended the Ministry for its continuous support and assistance to the University, describing the partnership as a testament to the shared commitment of both institutions towards advancing healthcare education and services.

The Vice-Chancellor further expressed his profound appreciation to the Honourable Commissioner and senior officials of the Ministry for their steadfastness, cooperation, and dedication, which culminated in the successful conclusion of the collaboration agreement.

He also acknowledged the invaluable contributions of the Dean, Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences, Prof. Muhammad Yalwa Gwarzo, and the Registrar, Malam Yusuf Datti, whose resilience and perseverance played a vital role in facilitating the successful completion of the MoU process.Speaking during the event, the Honourable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf, expressed delight in receiving the KHAIRUN delegation and appreciated the University’s recognition of the efforts of the Ministry and the Kano State Government.
