Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University (KHAIRUN) in Kano, in collaboration with the National Library of Nigeria, hosted the 2024 Annual Readership Promotion Campaign on October 24, 2024. Themed "Reading as Barriers Breakers and Excellence Propeller: The Role of Stakeholders in Sustaining the Culture of Reading," the event featured a keynote address by Prof. Chinwe V. Anunobi, the National Librarian and CEO of the National Library of Nigeria.

In her presentation, Prof. Anunobi highlighted the transformative power of reading for personal development and societal progress, emphasizing the importance of addressing educational barriers for youth.
