Kofoworola Sukurat Olabisi from Ladoke Akintola University earns a first-class honors degree in Mathematics and secures four international scholarships for her master’s degree.
Kofoworola Sukurat Olabisi, a hijab-wearing Muslimah and graduate of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Nigeria, has earned a first-class honors degree in Mathematics, boasting an impressive Cumulative Grade Point (CGP) of 4.53. Her academic excellence has secured her four scholarships from prestigious universities worldwide, paving the way for her master's degree.
Sukurat applied to 11 universities and received admission offers from four: Western Kentucky University and New Jersey Institute of Technology in the United States, the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) in Rwanda, and the Interdisciplinary Mathematics program at the University of L’Aquila in Italy.
After careful consideration, Sukurat chose to attend Western Kentucky University, where she was awarded an 80% Graduate Assistantship, encompassing both teaching and research responsibilities during her studies.
