Students from the Mass Communication department at Kogi State University (KSU), Kabba, celebrated a significant milestone by presenting their first publication. The event, held under the guidance of Mrs. Opeyemi Ologun, the course lecturer for "Introduction to News Writing," was attended by Vice Chancellor Prof. KIT Eniola and his management team.

The presentation showcased the students' proficiency in news writing fundamentals, achieved through over ten weeks of intense practical sessions. The students not only demonstrated their skills but also unveiled their first printout copy, marking the culmination of their hard work and dedication. This printout represents their ability to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios effectively.

Mrs. Ologun highlighted the students' accomplishment, noting that they were tasked with creating a website for news publication, where they successfully published over thirty stories about events within and around the school. As part of their course requirements, they also released their inaugural bulletin.

The Acting Head of Department, Associate Professor LI Abbas, presented the first newspaper copy to Vice Chancellor Prof. Eniola, who officially unveiled it. The Vice Chancellor, alongside the management team, praised the students for their exemplary performance and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence.
