KolaDaisi University Hosts Senior Staff Retreat on Leadership, Strategy, and Service Excellence

KolaDaisi University, Ibadan has concluded a high-level Senior Staff Retreat designed to strengthen leadership capacity, strategic alignment, and service innovation across the institution.

The two-day retreat, held from Thursday, November 20 to Friday, November 21, 2025, took place at the Royal Resort Hotel, Ibadan.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adeniyi Olatunbosun, SAN, opened the programme by welcoming senior staff and emphasizing the critical role they play in shaping institutional performance and culture. He underscored the need for continuous professional development to maintain the university’s trajectory of growth and competitiveness.
Facilitating the retreat, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olajumoke Morenikeji, noted that the initiative was strategically designed to reinforce staff understanding of their responsibilities as custodians of the university’s values, ethos, and operational standards. She added that sustained leadership capacity is essential for effective governance and long-term institutional success.
The retreat featured a lineup of distinguished speakers and resource persons, including:
Professor Jonathan Babalola, Vice-Chancellor, Bowen University, Iwo; Emeritus Professor (Engr.) Olufemi Bamiro, former Vice-Chancellor, University of Ibadan; Chief Mrs. Mojisola Ladipo, former Registrar, University of Ibadan; Dr. Michael Alatise, Bursar, KDU; Dr. A. O. Ojelabi, University of Ibadan; Mr. S. O. Oyewumi, University of Ibadan; Professor Seyi Osunade, University of Ibadan; Mrs. Margaret Aziba, Registrar, St. Augustine University, Ilara-Epe; Mrs. Yetunde Alagbe, former Acting Registrar, KDU; and Mr. Haruna Olawale Adetu, Registrar, KDU.
For two days, participants engaged in intensive sessions that explored strategic leadership, institutional governance, service excellence, performance culture, and the evolving demands of higher education administration. The retreat provided a platform for reflection, alignment, and renewed institutional commitment.

The programme ended on a strong note, with staff members reaffirming their dedication to driving excellence and sustaining KolaDaisi University’s mission of delivering quality education and outstanding service.
