A tragic incident has occurred in Ilorin, Kwara State, where Mojisola Awesu, a 21-year-old student from the Kwara State College of Health Technology, was found dead in a refuse bin in the Aleniboro area of the city. The incident, which has shocked the community, involved Awesu being hired to act as a fake girlfriend for a party hosted by a student from a private university.

Awesu had informed her roommate about feeling uneasy after being lodged in a hotel by the student who had hired her for the sum of N15,000. Shortly after, her phone became unreachable, and her whereabouts remained unknown until her body was discovered on August 12, 2024.
