KWASU Chancellor Engr Dr. Johnson Bamidele Adewumi Hails Gov AbdulRazaq for Campus Development
KWASU Chancellor Engineer Dr. Johnson Adewumi praises Governor AbdulRazaq for advancing the completion of Osi and Ilesha-Baruba campuses.
The Chancellor of Kwara State University (KWASU), Engineer Dr. Johnson Bamidele Adewumi, has praised Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his dedication to completing the Osi and Ilesha-Baruba campuses of the university. The commendation came during a courtesy visit by the university's Governing Council in Oko, Irepodun Local Government Area.
Engineer Adewumi expressed his gratitude for the visit and highlighted the positive impact that completing the campuses would have on the local development. He emphasized that education is crucial for driving progress and commended the Governor's focus on vital sectors of Kwara State's economy.
Furthermore, Engineer Adewumi, who is also the Asiwaju of Oko Irese and the founder of Thomas Adewumi University, lauded Governor AbdulRazaq for appointing Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh as the substantive Vice-Chancellor of KWASU, following the Governing Council’s recommendation. He noted that Professor Jimoh's appointment was well-received by the university community and that he is well-positioned to excel in his new role.
The Chancellor also praised the Governing Council members, particularly Professor Abdulganiyu Ambali OON, Chairman of the Council, for their dedication and effective leadership. Professor Ambali, in turn, acknowledged Engineer Adewumi’s significant contributions to KWASU’s advancement and his support for the Council’s efforts.
