The Kwara State University (KWASU) Ilorin Emirate Staff have congratulated Professor AbdulRasheed Na'Allah on being recognized as a Distinguished Alumnus by the University of Ilorin.

The award ceremony took place on July 16, 2025, at the University of Ilorin Auditorium as part of the university's 50th anniversary celebrations.

The group, in a statement signed by Dr. Abdullahi A. Bakare, General Secretary of the KWASU Ilorin Emirate Staff, described Professor Na'Allah as a beacon of academic excellence and a cultural ambassador. They noted that his career reflects the values of his Ilorin heritage and that his rise to global academic prominence is a testament to the enduring spirit and intellectual tradition of the Ilorin Emirate.

Professor Na'Allah, a 1988 graduate of the University of Ilorin, is widely known for his research on Dadakuada, Ilorin's traditional oral poetry. He has made significant contributions to higher education in Africa and has promoted the University of Ilorin brand globally.

The staff group commended Professor Na'Allah for his outstanding achievements and wished him continued success in his future endeavors. As a pioneer Vice-Chancellor of KWASU and former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Abuja, Professor Na'Allah has left a lasting impact on the academic landscape in Nigeria.
