KWASU Student Wins Prestigious Aare Ona Kakanfo Foundation Scholarship
Oladosu Fatiu Tomiwa, a 300-level student of Yoruba in the Department of English and Linguistics at Kwara State University (KWASU), has been awarded the 2024 Aare Ona Kakanfo Foundation Best Indigent Student in Yoruba Studies scholarship.

The scholarship, worth two hundred thousand Naira, is designed to support and encourage indigent and brilliant students in tertiary institutions across Nigeria. The presentation of the scholarship took place on May 1, 2024, at the Summit Auditorium, Alausa, Ikeja Lagos, coinciding with the birthday of the 15th Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba land, Iba Gani Abiodun Ige Adams.
