Kwara State University, Malete, has temporarily relocated staff and students of its Ilesha-Baruba Campus to the main Malete campus as a precautionary security measure as the year comes to a close.

The move follows a recent inspection by the University’s extended management team over the weekend, which confirmed that the Ilesha-Baruba Campus was calm, with students and staff in high spirits.

The relocation is scheduled to coincide with the University’s 13th Convocation Ceremony, commencing on December 9, 2025, and continuing through the week. Members of the Ilesha-Baruba community will participate fully in the week-long events before the entire student body proceeds on the mid-semester break, ahead of resumption in January 2026.

Dr. Saeedat Aliyu, Acting Director of University Relations, emphasized that the precautionary relocation ensures the safety and well-being of all students and staff during the convocation period.
