KWASU VC Visits Ilesha-Baruba Campus, Engages Staff, Students, and Community Leaders

Professor Shaykh-Luqman Alade Jimoh, Vice-Chancellor of Kwara State University (KWASU), led an official visit to the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences at the Ilesha-Baruba campus on Sunday, November 30, 2025, accompanied by senior management staff.

Professor Shaykh-Luqman Alade Jimoh, Vice-Chancellor of Kwara State University (KWASU), led an official visit to the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences at the Ilesha-Baruba campus on Sunday, November 30, 2025, accompanied by senior management staff.

The visit aimed to assess the well-being of staff and students, inspect campus facilities, and address emerging concerns.

During the visit, the Vice-Chancellor and his team held interactive sessions with students and staff, inspecting living conditions and gathering feedback on challenges affecting campus life. Key issues raised included transportation, hostel amenities, solar power availability, and sanitation. In response, management announced plans to deploy additional buses to facilitate movement between hostels and academic blocks, implement solar power solutions in select hostels, and improve sanitation services.

The delegation also paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Highness, Professor Halidu Abubakar, Emir of Ilesha-Baruba, to acknowledge the warm reception provided to the campus community. The Emir welcomed the University’s continued presence and expressed support for its initiatives.

The Vice-Chancellor described the visit as rewarding, emphasizing the University’s commitment to bringing management closer to staff and students across all campuses and ensuring a productive and fulfilling academic session.
