The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency, in collaboration with the Centre for Response and Prevention of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence at LASU, is set to launch a Campus Activation program aimed at raising awareness about sexual and gender-based violence.
The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA), in collaboration with the Centre for Response and Prevention of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (CRPSGBV) at Lagos State University (LASU), is set to launch a Campus Activation program aimed at raising awareness about sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV). The event, themed "SGBV? NOT ON MY WATCH," will take place on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at the 3-in-1 Executive Hall, Faculty of Education, LASU Main Campus, Ojo.
The Campus Activation program seeks to enhance the safety of victims and significantly reduce the occurrence of SGBV across Lagos State, particularly within tertiary institutions. The partnership between DSVA and CRPSGBV aims to provide support and justice for survivors while ensuring perpetrators are held accountable for their actions.
Scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m., the event is expected to serve as a platform to educate students and staff on SGBV prevention, support mechanisms, and legal recourse for victims. This initiative is part of a broader effort to foster a safe and respectful environment within educational institutions in Lagos State.
