Lagos State University Announces 7th Research and Innovation Fair

Lagos State University (LASU), under the leadership of Prof. Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, will hold its 7th Research and Innovation Fair on Wednesday, 8 and Thursday, 9 October 2025 at the Aderemi Makanjuola Theatre, Main Campus, Ojo, Lagos.

The fair, organized by the Directorate of Research Management and Innovation, will revolve around the theme: “Promoting the Quadruple Helix Collaboration: Government, University, Industry, and Community.” Sub-themes include:

• Translational Research: A Veritable Tool to Attain Sustainable Development Goals Using the Quadruple Helix Approach
• Sustaining Cybersecurity, Data Protection, and Privacy in Nigerian Universities
• Strengthening Sustainable Agriculture, Food Security, and Agro-innovation in Nigeria

Sir David O. Sunmoni, Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, LASU Governing Council, will chair the occasion. The keynote address will be delivered by Senator (Dr) Idiat Oluranti ADEBULE, PhD, Senator representing Lagos West and former Deputy Governor of Lagos State.

• Prof. Ibrahim Katampe, Professor of Chemistry and Director for Innovation & Technology Incubation, Center of Excellence in Emerging Technologies (CEET), Central State University, USA
• Prof. Abiodun M. Aibinu, Vice-Chancellor, Summit University, Offa
• Prof. Grace O. Alufohai, Professor of Agricultural Economics, Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo

Participation fees (Early bird rates):

• Undergraduate students: ₦5,000
• Postgraduate students: ₦15,000
• Staff and staff-student participants: ₦25,000
• Other individual participants: ₦30,000
• Online participants: ₦20,000

Late registration (effective Monday, 1 September 2025) will incur an additional ₦10,000.

The hybrid event also offers sponsorship tiers:

• Platinum: ₦1,000,000
• Platinum (second level): ₦750,000
• Gold: ₦500,000
• Silver: ₦250,000
• Bronze: ₦150,000

Abstract submission is open to all research fields. Guidelines:

• One-page abstract (max 300 words) in MS Word, Times New Roman, font size 12, single line spacing
• Structured into: Objectives, Methods, Results, Conclusion
• Submission deadline: Monday, 1 September 2025 via: https://lasu.edu.ng/2025researchinnovationfair/
• Abstracts must follow registration and payment verification

Registration involves:

1. Visiting the Research Fair portal
2. Completing the form and uploading payment receipt
3. Awaiting email confirmation to proceed with abstract upload
4. Sending the payment receipt to lasuresearchfair7@lasu.edu.ng
