LASEPA General Manager Leads Officials on Courtesy Visit to LASU, Seeks Collaboration
A delegation from the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA), led by its General Manager, Dr. Babatunde Ajayi, visited Lagos State University (LASU) to seek collaboration.
A delegation from the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA), led by its General Manager, Dr. Babatunde Ajayi, paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, on Monday, March 25, 2024. The meeting took place at the Vice-Chancellor's office on the 6th Floor of the Babatunde Raji Fashola Senate Building, main campus, Ojo, Lagos.

Dr. Ajayi highlighted that the purpose of the visit was to explore opportunities for collaboration between LASEPA and LASU. The collaboration aims to facilitate research, knowledge exchange, and data gathering in areas of mutual interest, with the goal of developing research-based solutions to drive environmental protection and sustainability policies.
In response, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello expressed appreciation for the initiative and expressed enthusiasm for the potential collaboration between the two institutions. She emphasized the importance of such partnerships in addressing environmental challenges and advancing sustainable development goals.
Accompanying Dr. Ajayi were notable members of the LASEPA team, including Mrs. Tolulope Adebowale, Executive Assistant to the Lagos State Governor on Environmental Protection; Mrs. Olabisi Shonibare, Director of Laboratory Services; Mrs. M. Abdulwarees-Solanke, Director of Research and Development; and Dr. Olisa Bukonla, Head of Partnerships, Grants Management, and Innovation, among others.
The Vice-Chancellor was joined by key members of the LASU administration, including Prof. Olufunsho Omobitan, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic); Prof. Omotunde Boyo, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration); Prof. Toyin Enikuomehin, Director of the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology; and Prof. Oseni Afisi, Director of the Directorate of Special Interventions.
Also present were Dr. Lateef O. Salami, Special Assistant to the Vice-Chancellor/Deputy Registrar; members of the Vice-Chancellor's Office; and representatives from the Centre for Information and Public Relations (CIPR).

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Lateef Shekoni, Deputy Registrar of the Vice-Chancellor's Office, acknowledging the significance of collaboration between LASEPA and LASU in addressing environmental issues and promoting sustainable practices.
