LASU Department of Political Science to Host Carnegie Workshops
The Department of Political Science at Lagos State University (LASU) is organizing the Carnegie Workshops aimed at enhancing publishing skills among its academic staff.
The Department of Political Science at Lagos State University (LASU), under the Faculty of Social Sciences, is gearing up to host its prestigious Carnegie Workshops aimed at enhancing publishing skills and opportunities for its academic staff.
Scheduled for Wednesday, July 17, 2024, the workshops will feature esteemed speakers and practitioners in academia and publishing. Among them are Prof. Sabella Abidde from Alabama State University, who will delve into "Publishing Internationally: What You Need to Know"; Prof. Odion Akhaine from LASU's Political Science department, offering insights on "Book Publishing: Tips and Tricks"; and Prof. Oseni Taiwo-Afisi, Director of Directorate of Special Interventions, focusing on "Publishing Opportunities: The Role of Tetfund".
The event will take place at the Prof. Abubakar Momoh Moot Parliament, LASU, from 11 am to 2 pm. It targets lecturers and staff at the Lecturer II level and above within the department, aiming to equip them with essential knowledge and skills for successful academic publishing.

Additionally, a Practicum session is scheduled for August 7th to 8th, 2024, at the same venue, providing practical training and hands-on experience in publishing processes.
