LASU Extends 2025/2026 Second Semester Academic Calendar by One Week

The Lagos State University has approved a one-week extension of the Second Semester academic calendar for the 2025/2026 session, following approval by the Vice-Chancellor on behalf of the University Senate.

The adjustment, according to the institution, is intended to ensure the completion of outstanding academic activities and improve coordination of both academic and administrative processes for the semester.

Revised Second Semester Schedule

The updated academic timeline is as follows:

• Resumption, registration, and lectures (new and returning students): Monday, March 2 – Friday, May 29, 2026 (13 weeks)
• Second semester examinations: Monday, June 1 – Friday, June 26, 2026 (4 weeks)
• Grading and uploading of results: Monday, June 29 – Friday, July 10, 2026 (2 weeks)
• Departmental and faculty consideration, corrections, and ICT processing of results: Monday, July 13 – Friday, July 17, 2026 (1 week)
• Collation of results and Senate consideration/approval: Monday, July 20 – Friday, July 24, 2026 (1 week)
• End-of-session break begins: Monday, July 27, 2026

LASU Session Transition Update

The university confirmed that the Second Semester of the 2025/2026 academic session has been extended by one week.

It further stated that the end-of-session break will now run from Monday, July 27 to Friday, October 23, 2026, while the 2026/2027 academic session is scheduled to commence on Monday, October 26, 2026.

The university advised all students, staff, and stakeholders to take note of the revised schedule and comply accordingly to ensure smooth academic operations.
