LASU Hosts Awareness Programme on Erasmus Mundus Scholarship

The Directorate of Linkages, Partnerships and Collaborations (DLPC) at Lagos State University (LASU), in collaboration with the Oceans Network, organized a one-day awareness programme for penultimate and final-year students on the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship Programmes.

The event, themed "Discovering Global Opportunities in the University," aimed to educate students on accessing fully funded scholarships for undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate studies.

The Director of DLPC, Professor K.A. Akinyemi, emphasized the Erasmus programme's success in fostering academic growth, empathy, innovation, and mutual understanding among students and scholars across Europe and beyond. He encouraged students to take advantage of the programme, highlighting its potential to be life-changing.

The keynote address was delivered by Professor Jimoh Saka, who noted the programme's significant impact on students' professional careers and institutions' internationalization strategies. A panel session featuring Erasmus+ alumni and Mundus Scholars provided guidance on applications, while a training session via Zoom offered detailed guidance on the application process and curriculum vitae preparation.

The event demonstrated LASU's commitment to enhancing students' global competencies and opportunities for academic growth.
