Professor Kalilu noted that LAUTECH had previously introduced drug screening for new entrants, but the new initiative seeks to extend testing to all students—fresh and returning—at various points during their stay on campus. He underlined the detrimental effects of drug abuse on both individuals and the national economy, stressing the university’s proactive stance in addressing the issue.
