MAAUN Library Organizes User Education Program for Fresh Students

The Murtala Ramat Muhammad Library of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN) recently conducted a one-day User Education Programme for freshmen of the 2024/2025 academic session.

 

The program, held at the Professor Abubakar Adamu Rasheed Twin Theatre, aimed to equip students with the necessary skills to effectively utilize library resources for academic success. The event introduced students to the university's library facilities, policies, and services, emphasizing the library's critical role in academic development.

Three presenters, Izdihar Abdulwakeel Saleh, Khalid Muhammad Salihu, and Abubakar Ashiru Abubakar, facilitated the program. Acting Chief Librarian Malam Zubairu Bello highlighted the event's importance, noting that it was designed to familiarize newly admitted students with the library's facilities and staff support.

 

The program was divided into two sessions, catering to students from various schools within the university. Interactive question-and-answer sessions followed each presentation, allowing students to seek clarifications on library usage.

The event was attended by Vice President Campus Life, Dr. Hamza Garba, who commended the library for organizing the program.
