MAAUN President Prof. Gwarzo felicitates Senator Wamakko on 71st birthday

The President MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo has felicitated with Sen. Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko on his 71st birthday, describing him as a grassroots politician and dogged fighter.

The congratulatory message was contained in a statement personally signed by Prof. Gwarzo and issued to newsmen in Kano on Friday.

He said Sen. Wamakko, who was a seasoned civil servant, is a grassroots politician who deserves to be celebrated at this auspicious time in view of his contributions to the development of Sokoto State especially in the area of education.

“The Magatakarda Wamakko on his own established the NorthWest university as part of his commitment and contribution towards the development of education in Sokoto State and the country at large.

He noted that the history of Sokoto State cannot be complete without the mention of the Founder of NorthWest University, Sokoto and by extension the former Governor of the state, Sen. Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko.

“On behalf of Maryam Abacha American University conglomerate, I wish to congratulate you on this important milestone,” Prof. Gwarzo said.
