Meet Ismail Salisu, The President of the Nigerian Institution of Electrical and Electronics Engineers ATBU

Ismail was born in Hotoro, Nasarawa local government area of Kano state, and raised in Limawa quarters, Dutse, Jigawa State.

He commenced his academic journey at Ihya'us Sunnah Academy, Dutse, and Model Boarding School, Dutse, where he earned his primary and junior secondary school certificates, respectively, while serving as a class representative. He then proceeded to Government Science Technical College, Ringim, to complete his secondary education.

In 2016, he took the UTME and SSCE exams but unfortunately was not admitted to the university. He then pursued a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering at Jigawa State Polytechnic, Dutse, where he graduated with Distinction in 2018.

In 2019, he gained admission to ATBU through Direct Entry, joining the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Presently, he serves as the president of the Nigerian Institution of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, ATBU BAUCHI.

Beyond academia, Ismail is a businessman involved in textiles and has experience as a mechanic electrician. He underwent training under the National Industry Skills Development Program, focusing on Aluminum Fabrication, organized by the ITF in 2018.
