The Governing Council of Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, has approved the implementation of a ₦70,000 minimum wage for its staff, effective from December 2024. The decision was announced by Professor Abdulganiyu Ambali, Chairman of the Governing Council, during a meeting with ASUU (Ibadan Zone) executives at the university's Business School in Ilorin.

- ₦100,000 tuition rebate for staff children studying at KWASU.

Professor Ambali confirmed that discussions with the Kwara State Government are ongoing regarding Earned Academic Allowances (EAA) and reinstating subvention for the university.

ASUU Zonal Coordinator, Comrade Oyegoke Oyebamiji, called for increased funding for Nigerian universities and praised KWASU's administration for fostering a harmonious relationship between staff and management.
