Qualifications: Dr. Baba holds a Ph.D in Educational Psychology from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and has furthered his expertise with certificates in Monitoring and Evaluation, Project Management, Global Mental Health, and Policy and Advocacy in Global Health from the renowned University of Washington, USA. His educational journey also includes advanced diplomas in Computer Maintenance, Repairs and networking, demonstrating his commitment to interdisciplinary knowledge.

Professional Membership: Dr. Baba is an active member of prestigious professional societies, including the Nigerian Council of Educational Psychologists (NCEP), the Counselling Association of Nigeria (CASSON), and the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN). These affiliations underscore his dedication to staying at the forefront of educational development.

Academic Achievements: His academic journey includes a Bachelor's Degree in Education,  Master's Degree in Educational Psychology, and a Doctorate in the same field. Dr. Baba's research and academic pursuits have been further complemented by various certifications from renowned institutions.

Leadership and Administrative Roles: Dr. Baba has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills. Until his appointment, he is the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Taraba State University, Jalingo providing styling qualities of administration, academic leadership and chairing official meetings. He ensures the maintenance of discipline within the faculty. Dr Baba has changed the outlook of the faculty within the shortest period of his reign. His previous roles include Acting SANDWICH coordinator, Acting Dean, Deputy Dean, acting HOD, Faculty Examination Officer and SANDWICH exam officer showcasing a rich history of responsible leadership.

Adding a new chapter to his cherished excellent career, Dr Baba has recently been appointed Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics and Research). In this role, he is poised to chart new frontiers and steer Taraba State University, Jalingo's academic and research to greater heights, One advantage of having a Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academic and Research is that, it allows the Vice-Chancellor to delegate specific responsibilities related to academic affairs and research, thus enabling more focused and efficient management. This delegation can enhance the overall functioning of the university by ensuring that academic and research initiatives receive dedicated attention and expertise. Additionally, it facilitates collaboration and innovation within the university community by providing clear leadership in these crucial areas.

Editorial Contributions: A versatile academic, Dr. Baba has contributed significantly to the academic community as the TSU Journal of Educational Research and Production Editorial Secretary, International Journal of Counseling and Human Development. Dr Baba has published articles in reputable international, national, and local journals and has contributed chapters in many books to his credit. In this role, he provided invaluable administrative support, managed correspondence, and played a vital role in the production and distribution of the journals.
