MEET THE NEW DVC ADMINISTRATION OF TARABA STATE UNIVERSITY, JALINGO (TSUJ) DR. REUBEN JONATHAN
Dr. Reuben Jonathan is a distinguished scholar with a Doctor of Philosophy Degree (Ph.D.) in Agricultural Economics from the prestigious University of Nigeria, NsuKka (UNN).

His expertise lies in the intersection of agriculture and economics, where he has made significant contributions to understanding the economic dynamics of agricultural systems; driven by a passion for addressing global food security challenges, his research pastime delved into topics such as agricultural policy, market trends, and sustainable practices.
With a wealth of knowledge in leadership and unionism, Dr. Jonathan has played pivotal role in shaping agricultural policies and fostering a deeper understanding of the economic factors influencing this vital sector and has been so passionate in standing for the course of justice, fairness and respect for people's rights.
Dr. Jonathan hails from Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State, Nigeria. Born on the 18th December, 1969. He's happily married with five beautiful children.

Dr. Jonathan has been lecturing with Taraba State University, Jalingo from 2011 to date and his current rank is Associate Professor as at 2021.
He has held numerous leadership responsibilities few among others include: Departmental Examination Officer, Head of Department, Departmental Postgraduate Coordinator all at the Department of Agric. Econs and Extension TSUJ. Others are Chairperson of ASUU-TSU Jalingo Branch, Associate Editors FUWJALS, FU-Wukari, External Examiner College of Agriculture, Jalingo, Director School of Basic Studies (SBS), TSUJ, Zonal Coordinator, ASUU-Yola Zone and Nodal Officer/Director, SERVICOM, TSUJ.
Dr. Reuben Jonathan's astute leadership and wealth of knowledge have afforded him the opportunities to served as chairman and member in various committees at different levels within and outside the University World.
Dr. Jonathan has about 35 Academic Publications and Conference Papers/Book Chapters to his name and his flair and interest in the academia has exposed him to numerous International/National Conferences, Seminars and Workshops. He supervises students at undergraduate, masters and doctoral levels. His hobby is farming and playing Table Tennis.
With the recent appointment of Dr. Reuben Jonathan as Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Administration, he would provide crucial administrative oversight, allowing the Vice-Chancellor to focus on strategic and academic matters. This assistance will enhance the efficiency of the University operations by ensuring that administrative functions, such as finance, human resources, and facilities management, are expertly handled.
