MOUAU Unveils 5-Year Strategic Plan at Town Hall Meeting
Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU) has launched its 5-year strategic plan for 2024-2029 during a town hall meeting. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Maduebibisi Ofo Iwe described the plan as a key guide for the university's growth and innovation.
Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU) has introduced its 5-year strategic plan, spanning from 2024 to 2029, during a town hall meeting at the Anyim Pius Anyim Auditorium.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Maduebibisi Ofo Iwe highlighted the strategic plan as a critical guide for advancing the university. He emphasized that the plan incorporates new innovations and collaborative initiatives designed to elevate the institution both locally and internationally. Prof. Iwe urged staff to engage professionally and support the plan, noting its importance as universities must have a strategic plan to access TETFund interventions from 2025 onward.
Prof. Ike Nwachukwu, Chairman of the Strategic Plan Draft Committee, detailed the development process of the plan. He assured that the plan, which received approval from both the management and the university senate, is a comprehensive and collaborative effort involving both academic and non-academic members. Nwachukwu addressed staff feedback and emphasized that the plan is a dynamic document open for ongoing input to ensure its successful implementation.
The presentation was attended by university principal officers, deans, directors, and a significant number of staff members, who provided feedback and discussed the plan’s implications.
