MOUAU's Major Hostel Cleanup: Students Get a Fresh Start with Soap and Skills

Hon. Nnanna Emmanuel and Hon. Chibueze David led a major hostel cleanup at MOUAU, distributing liquid soap, Hypo, and detergents to students. The initiative also included a skill acquisition session to help students manage future cleaning tasks effectively.

In a recent effort to enhance campus hygiene, Hon. Nnanna Emmanuel, Chairman of the Committee on Administrative Duties, joined forces with Hon. Chibueze David, Secretary of the Committee on Sanitation, to lead a significant cleanup operation at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU).

The initiative, which focused on the university’s hostels, included the production and distribution of liquid soap to students for toilet cleaning, as well as the provision of Hypo and other detergents. This effort was aimed at reducing germ presence and improving sanitation in the student accommodations.

In addition to the cleanup, students benefited from a skill acquisition session designed to help them manage future cleaning tasks more cost-effectively. The Secretary General of the Students’ Union, Hon. Enyioma Godslove, and the Chairman of the Sanitation Committee, Hon. Madu Victor, along with other prominent members of the student body, were also in attendance, contributing to the success of the event.
