The #MyNigeriaDebate zonal rounds began with a spirited start yesterday as the North-West zonal round took place in Kano. Four esteemed institutions—Bayero University, Kano; Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Kano; Federal University, Dutse; and Kebbi State University of Science and Technology—participated in this intellectual showcase.

Over four rigorous rounds, students from these universities engaged in debates, presenting their arguments and exchanging ideas on critical topics such as democracy, politics, citizenship, and national values. The event highlighted the students' eloquence, critical thinking, and in-depth understanding of the issues that shape Nigeria's future.

At the end of the day, Federal University Dutse emerged victorious, earning the honor of representing the North-West zone in the finals. Bayero University, Kano, also performed admirably and stands a chance to participate in the finals, showcasing the competitive spirit and high-caliber debating skills of the region's students.

The #MyNigeriaDebate is organized in partnership with the National Universities Commission (NUC) and the All-Nigeria Universities Debating Council (ANUDC).
