"They said is the father of the pupil, then I asked them to call the father which they could not.

"That was when I realised that the father of the pupil had not send anybody to pick his child from the school."

Mr. Salisu, who was a Security Supervisor, was on a routine inspection when he realised that armed robbers had attacked the Campus Generator Plant.
On arriving at the scene, he realised that the robbers have gained access to the campus into the generator house after over powering the two security officers on duty patrolling the plant and tied them up.
The robbers disconnected the armour cable and removed it from the power generator.
However, it was on this note that the security supervisor on duty uncovered the operation going on and immediately mobilised other security guards to the scene, who chased away the robbers after a short engagement which, according to him, resulted to an injury he sustained in his arm that he is presently battling with.
Elaborating further, he maintained that they were employed by the university to safeguard the properties of the university, as such; they have to observe their duty with all humility.
He thanked the management of the university for recognising and finding him worthy of commendation and assured that he will continue to serve the university with all his strength.
On his part, the CHRD director, Dr. Aminu Umar, commended Mr. Salisu for the display of his professional talents in discharge of his responsibility.
