NBTE Grants Approval for New Programmes at Federal Polytechnic N’yak

The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has approved three new academic programmes for the Federal Polytechnic, N’yak, Shendam, Plateau State. The programmes include Statistics, Business Administration, and Electrical Electronics Engineering.
Dr. Mukaila Ya’u, Rector of the Polytechnic, announced the approval, noting that these were selected from ten programmes the institution had proposed. The Federal Polytechnic, N’yak, which began operations in June 2024 with 22 students, aims to expand its academic offerings as it develops its facilities.

The Chairman of the Polytechnic’s Governing Council, Abubakar Sidiq Usman, expressed his commitment to enhancing the institution’s strategic direction, focusing on academic excellence, infrastructure, and community engagement. He emphasized that the Polytechnic is poised to drive technological advancement and contribute to socio-economic development.
