The renovated structures, once in disrepair, are now a focal point for academic activities.

The intervention by NDDC not only addresses immediate academic needs but also preserves the historical essence of the buildings while integrating modern facilities. The renovation supports accessibility and inclusivity, meeting diverse student needs while reducing environmental impacts associated with constructing new structures.

In the same meeting, Senate celebrated the achievements of Christian Needbari Mgboalu and Joshua Onyerere of the Department of English and Communication Arts. The duo recently won a five-million-naira cash prize in the South-South Campus Debate, organized by the National Orientation Agency. They were presented to the Senate by Professor Samuel Amaele, Director of Ideas, Creativity, and Innovations, alongside Associate Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Professor Ibiere Ken-Maduako.
