NECO Registrar Elected to Executive Council of African Educational Assessment Body

Dantani Wushishi, the registrar of the National Examinations Council (NECO), has been elected as the West Africa representative on the Executive Council of the Association for Educational Assessment in Africa (AEAA).

The election took place at the AEAA's 40th conference held in Cape Town, South Africa, from August 19 to August 23. The Executive Council, which comprises eight members from various examination bodies across Africa, focuses on harmonizing educational assessment practices on the continent.

Azeez Sani, NECO spokesperson, announced Wushishi’s election and highlighted the conference's theme: “Reimagining Education Assessment in the Age of Multiple Dimensions of Learning in a Global Society.” The AEAA, established in 1982, aims to foster cooperation among assessment bodies in Africa.
