Niger State Government Assures IBBUL Students of Maximum Security

The Niger State Government has assured students of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai (IBBUL), of maximum security for their lives and property. This assurance was made by the State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Honourable Hamidu Mu'azu Jantabo, during an emergency security meeting.

The government plans to establish approved security checkpoints and deploy trained local vigilantes for community and campus patrols. Stricter regulations on landlords are also being considered to ensure student accommodations meet basic security standards.

The Vice Chancellor emphasized that security is a shared responsibility and encouraged students to be vigilant and informed about their environment.
