In a bid to ensure the safety of students and infrastructure within schools, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Abia State has pledged to intensify security efforts.

Commandant Usman Alfadarai affirmed the commitment during a meeting at the command's headquarters in Umuahia. He emphasized the importance of proactive and preventive measures, especially in light of recent school abductions across the country.
