In a significant move to enhance academic and research collaboration, the National Institute of Transport Technology (NITT) has initiated a strategic partnership with Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH). Dr. Bayero Salih Farah, the Director General and Chief Executive of NITT, paid a courtesy visit to Professor Olumuyiwa Odusanya, the Vice Chancellor of LASUSTECH, at the university’s Ikorodu campus. During this meeting, they discussed the modalities for signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that will formalize the collaboration between the two institutions.
The proposed MOU will outline various areas of mutual benefit, including joint research projects, academic exchanges, and the development of specialized training programs. Both parties expressed enthusiasm about the potential impact of this partnership on the academic community and the broader field of transport technology in Nigeria.
Dr. Farah highlighted the importance of such collaborations in fostering innovation and providing practical solutions to the challenges facing the transport sector.
