The Faculty of Physical Sciences at Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, in his office.

Led by the Dean, Professor Virginia Ebere Ejiofor, the delegation congratulated Prof. Anyaehie on his recent appointment as the 7th Substantive Vice-Chancellor and reaffirmed the faculty’s support for his administration.

During the meeting, Prof. Ejiofor outlined key challenges facing the faculty, including the need to complete an abandoned building project, inadequate manpower, and insufficient offices and laboratories. She appealed for these issues to be addressed to strengthen teaching, research, and overall faculty development, noting that it is the university’s first faculty since its establishment.

Responding, Prof. Anyaehie expressed gratitude for the faculty’s support and assured them of his commitment to addressing their concerns. He promised to prioritize the completion of the abandoned building project and provide necessary resources to enhance the faculty’s performance.

Mbeledogu (Computer Science), Ikechukwu Onyenwe (Computer Science), Harold Chinedu Okeke (Geological Sciences), B.E.B. Akudinobi (Geology), S.I. Onyeagu (Statistics), and Drs. A.I. Chinwuko (Geophysics), I.I. Umeh (Information Technology), and C.I. Egwuatu (Industrial Chemistry).
