The NNPC/Chevron Scholarship has officially announced the commencement of applications for the 2024 scholarship program, open to undergraduate Nigerian students nationwide.

The NNPC/Chevron Scholarship has begun accepting applications from suitably qualified Nigerian students from all states of the federation. The NNPC/Chevron Scholarship attaches an annual award of N200,000 provided by the oil and gas company to eligible undergraduate Nigerian students in all accredited universities across the country.

The 2024 NNPC/Chevron Scholarship is a joint venture initiative between Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL) and its Joint Venture (JV) partner, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL). The scholarship program forms a significant part of Chevron’s strategic social investment towards the advancement of education in Nigeria.

Eligibility criteria for the NNPC/Chevron Scholarship include:

  • Being a full-time, SECOND-YEAR (200 LEVEL) degree student studying any of the under-listed courses in Nigerian Universities
  • Having a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 in a 5.0 grade system or its equivalent in other grading systems.
  • Having a minimum of six O-level credits in one sitting.Having a minimum CGPA of 2.5 in a 5.0 grade system or its equivalent in other grading systems.
  • Having a minimum of five O-level credits.

The NNPC/Chevron Joint Venture has also expanded the scholarship opportunities to blind/visually impaired SECOND-YEAR (200 LEVEL) degree students studying any course in Nigerian Universities.

The deadline for the Scholarship application is June 14, 2024.
