NOUN-IMILI to Host Virtual Workshop on Media and Information Literacy
The one-day event, themed "New Frontiers: How Media and Information Literacy is Transforming Lives," aims to promote media literacy in new media use among youth and explore the future impact of Media Information Literacy (MIL).
The National Open University of Nigeria - International Media and Information Literacy Institute (NOUN-IMILI) will hold a virtual workshop on November 15 as part of Global Media & Information Literacy Week.
The one-day event, themed "New Frontiers: How Media and Information Literacy is Transforming Lives," aims to promote media literacy in new media use among youth and explore the future impact of Media Information Literacy (MIL).
Organized in collaboration with several partners, including IMILI-Nigeria, Media Awareness and Information for All Network (MAIN), Trully Verify Africa, Light-up Africa Development Institute (LADI), and MILID Foundation, the workshop will feature global experts in MIL, such as Dr. Seyi Soremeku from the United Nations Information Centre, Ruhamah Ifere, founder of Trully Verify Africa, and Senior Software Engineer Enodi Audu.
The event will begin at 4 p.m. (Lagos/GMT+1), and staff and the public are encouraged to register in advance via Zoom.
