The Founder and President of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN) Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, has cautioned university staff against behaviors that could harm their reputation and that of the institution.

The warning was issued during a Manpower Development Training Workshop in Kano, organized by the Institute of Africa Higher Education Research and Innovation (IAHERI) in collaboration with MAAUN’s Human Resource Unit.

Represented by Dr. Hamza Garba, Vice President Campus Life, Prof. Gwarzo emphasized a zero-tolerance policy on sexual harassment, stating that violators would face immediate dismissal. He encouraged staff to uphold high ethical standards and noted that hardworking individuals would be duly rewarded.

The workshop included presentations by various resource persons, covering topics like work ethics, digital literacy, emotional intelligence, and effective communication. MAAUN President Prof. Mohammad Israr highlighted the university’s commitment to staff growth and excellence through initiatives like this training.

Senior university officials attended, including the Vice Chancellor of Franco-British International University, Prof. Mohammad Ibrahim Sabo, and MAAUN’s Vice President of Administration, Dr. Habib Awais Abubakar.
