In a move aimed at bolstering Nigeria’s minerals and energy sectors, the Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, recently concluded a high-level working visit to the Central Mining Institute (GIG) in Katowice, Poland.

The strategic engagement centered on critical areas of modern resource management, including: mining, solid minerals, clean coal technology, renewable energy, and applied research. Both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to leveraging knowledge for sustainable growth in the mineral and energy sectors.
Professor Liman met with GIG Director Dr. Jaroslaw Zagorowski, President of the European Coal Agency Assoc. Professor Alicja Krzemień, and GIG Deputy Director Professor Adam Smoliński (who also serves as an international faculty member in NSUK).

The discussions yielded several key agreements designed to enhance bilateral cooperation:

* Academic Exchange: Establishment of Faculty and student exchange programmes.
