NSUK's Global Health and Infectious Diseases Control Institute Inducts 78 PhD Scholars

Nasarawa State University Keffi's (NSUK) Global Health and Infectious Diseases Control Institute (GHIDI) has welcomed 78 new PhD scholars during its orientation ceremony.

The institute's PhD programs in Public Health, Health Economics, Policy and Management, and Molecular Biology and Genomics have commenced, marking a significant milestone for the university.

Professor Yakubu Ngwai, in his address, encouraged the matriculants to embrace leadership roles and seize opportunities. "As Ensonians, you have the privilege of learning from remarkable faculty who will help you gain competencies to make a real impact."

Notably, this cohort is the first to join NSUK following its historic Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) accreditation, a first in Africa.
